A Qajar walrus-hilted dagger, 18th/19th century
the hilt carved with a continuous scene depicting figures at court terminating in two pairs of bird's heads, the fine watered blade chiseled to the forte on both sides with a beast attacking a deer, each with gold inset eyes, with silver-mounted leather scabbard with similar embossed scene to one side, the other with a pair of birds amongst flowerheads and foliage, some damage to terminal hilt, the blade 22,5cm long
