Although the present lot is inscribed `Farm Yard, Drakensberg' in another hand on the reverse, it is more likely to have been painted in Cornwall while the artist was visiting the UK in 1935, cf. Wheatfields in Cornwall, Strauss & Co, Johannesburg, 20 May 2013, lot 233.
