Prominent artist, writer and cultural worker, Louis Jansen van Vuuren's œuvre has gained him recognition throughout South Africa and abroad. In addition to holding more than fifty exhibitions, publishing several books and opening a concept store in France, he has been actively involved in art education for several decades. He has been instrumental in launching several mentorship programmes for young artist and created a special bursary award that financially supports deserving post graduate art students from The University of Stellenbosch Visual Arts Department.
