'An example of SA's most modern, gentler, finer Cabernet. Highly and widely acclaimed for its supple tannins, ripe cherry-mulberry fruit. Dark chocolatey soft textures too. 1994 with noticeably bigger and wider - but not aggressive - tannins than initial, super-velvety 1993. Ripe secondary layers of fruit-cake, even almondy flavours developing. Silky mouthfeel. Altogether, in a Cape context, "discovery, departure" wines of international class .' - Platter's SA Wine Guide 1997, Superior Cape Wine
