Buitenverwachting
Christine, 1998
6 (1 x 6) 750ml
Buitenverwachting is one of the historical jewels in the crown of South Africa’s oldest wine region, Constantia, just outside of Cape Town. Dating back to 1796, this beautiful property is currently owned by the Maack family who have been putting quality and legacy at the forefront of their stewardship of the farm and its wines. Although the valley is chiefly known for its sweets and complex Sauvignons, the Christine is widely revered and awarded for its elegance, structure and age-worthiness.

 Wine Storage

'For over a decade, one of the more serious South African Bordeaux blends, cabernet-based, with Cabernet Franc, Merlot. Malbec joins in from 98, which a little bigger (13.9% alc) – but still classically oriented, characterful, firmly structured, fine depth of fruit.’ – Platter's SA Wine Guide 2003, 4.5*
