Cabernet Sauvignon, 1983
1 (1 x 1) 1500ml
Founded in 1682, Rustenberg Estate on the Simonsberg foothills is one of the most historic and picturesque farms in South Africa. The farm was previously split into two estates, until 1945 when industrialist Peter Barlow purchased both farms and reunited them. Rustenberg is family-owned with son of Peter Barlow, Simon, owning the estate and grandson, Murray (2 x Diners Club Young Winemaker of the Year) now cellar master.
The Cabernet Sauvignons from the 1970s and 1980s remains one some of the finest wines of the era. The 1983 is mature and composed with classic Cabernet Sauvignon characters.
