Lot 148

Rustenberg
Cabernet Sauvignon, 1975
2 (1 x 2) 750ml
Founded in 1682, Rustenberg Estate on the Simonsberg foothills is one of the most historic and picturesque farms in South Africa. The farm was previously spilt into two estates until 1945 when industrialist Peter Barlow purchased both farms and reunited them. Etienne Le Riche started as was winemaker in 1974 and in Peter Barlow passed away in 1975. The now legendary Cabernet Sauvignon 1975 remains one of the finest wines of the era and is still in remarkable condition today. Pristine bottles are now extremely rare.
