Joseph Drouhin
Bonnes-Mares, 2000
3 (1 x 3) 750ml
Joseph Drouhin founded the n├ęgociant company which bears his name in 1880. His son Maurice took over in 1918, buying the first vineyards including the famous Beaune Clos des Mouches. Generations later and Robert, Veronique, Frederic, Laurent and Philippe run the fine Burgundy House.Joseph Drouhin’s wines are produced with an organic and biodynamic approach and they are regarded for their classical styling.

 Wine Storage

Rich, powerful and complex with a superbly spicy nose and warm, ripe, relatively rounded flavors and outstanding length. This is quite expressive for young Bonnes Mares and there is a beguiling freshness to the lively flavors. Direct and linear in style yet with much better than average density for the vintage. – Allen Meadows 92/100 (2003)
