Savage Wines - Savage Red Magnums 2020 & 2021 (2 x 1.5L)
The Savage Red is a pure Syrah sourced exclusively from prime organically grown Stellenbosch vineyards planted on decomposed granite soils. The grapes were spontaneously fermented from wild yeasts using 50% whole clusters spending 3 to 4 weeks on skins. The wine spends 12 months in 500 litre barrels followed by a further 10 months in foudre.

Mullineux is world-renowned as South African fine wine producers, while defining the Swartland where they are based on Roundstone, their home estate.

The Mullineux Single Terroir wines are very rare, made from small parcels of extreme vineyards which form the pinnacle of all the Mullineux wines, with the aim to produce wines across three main soil types of the Swartland appellation, namely GRANITE, SCHIST and IRON - the influence of each specific soil being the only point of difference across the range.

These cuvées truly encapsulate Andrea & Chris Mullineux’s long-term goal of respecting and expressing the unique terroirs of the Swartland and are only bottled in the vintages believed to encapsulate the most classic and consistent expressions of the Swartland, with balance and class.
