The once forgotten but now iconic GS Cabernet Sauvignon 1966 and 1966 vintage wines were returned to their rightful place amongst the most famous examples of South African red wines when David Finlayson started showing them to the world’s leading wine scribes in the 1990’s . In honour of and as a tribute to the winemaking prowess of the late George Spies, and with his family’s blessing, David started making a single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon in 2006 to emulate the longevity and purity of these SA classics. This lot is a 12 year vertical of this winemaking odyssey.

The successful bidder will also have the right to a private tasting for 8 people hosted by David Finlayson.
