Notes
This work relates to the artist's series of 'Travels with Pierneef' in which he travelled to the actual sites depicted in JH Pierneef's famous Johannesburg station panels, and reinterpreted them, bringing a contemporary lens to bear on Pierneef's so-called 'empty landscape'. This work references the panel that depicts the town of Louis Trichardt.
