'In the sylvan suburb of Wynberg, one of the Cape's most beautiful old residential areas at the southeastern foot of Table Mountain, is a picturesque thatched cottage in traditional Cape Dutch style named Kleine Oude - 'Little Old One'. This was the house in which Alexander Rose-Innes lived and worked with his wife Joy, the subject of this work.
