Situated on the scenic slopes of the Helderberg mountain, Rust en Vrede is one of Stellenbosch's oldest estates, dating back to 1694 and is today owned by Jean Engelbrecht. The fine Helderberg terroir produces concentrated and highly celebrated reds.

'This has lots of toast and espresso up front, followed by a big core of braised fig and melted black licorice. Mouthwatering tobacco and iron notes then course through on the finish, with a lingering graphite edge. This has plenty of power, with the definition to match. Impressive.' - Wine Spectator 92/100
