Notes
This work is one of a series the artist completed after a study tour to India in 2004 sponsored by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), New Delhi. Various cities were on the itinerary, including Varanasi, Allahbad, Khajuraho, Delhi and Mumbai. A copy of a letter from the Consulate General of India in South Africa confirming the arrangement is attached to the reverse of the present lot.
