Notes
Brukkaros Mountain is an extinct volcano in Namibia, about 100 kilometres north-northwest of Keetmanshoop. It is over 650 metres taller than the surrounding area, with the crater floor 350 m below the rim.
The Nama name for the mountain, Geitsi Gubib, refers to the loincloth worn by Khoikhoi women. The Afrikaans name for the loincloth 'broek-en-karos' (trousers and kaross) has become 'Brukkaros'.
