A pair of George III silver wine coasters, Robert Gray & Sons, Glasgow, 1819 each with a shell and anthemion band between ovolo and gadrooned borders, the turned wooden base with a boss engraved with a crest and the motto 'TOUCH NOT THE CAT BUT A GLOVE', 13,8cm diameter

The crest and motto are of the McPherson clan.
