About this Item
A Chinese carved cinnabar lacquer box and cover, Qing Dynasty, 19th century the circular body carved with alternating panels depicting cranes and deer before a landscape against a diaper ground enclosed by foliate scrolls, the rims with greek-key borders, the cover with a circular panel similarly carved, the black lacquer interior painted with gilt flowers, some chipping and minor restoration to the rims, 22,5cm high
