A Japanese style Imari bottle vase, probably Samson of Paris, late 19th century the ovoid lobed body painted with figures at various pursuits, within foliate borders enclosed by an orange and red flowerhead ground, highlighted with blue and red enamels, the front and reverse enamelled with a stylised peacock, red-overglazed six-character script mark,firing faults to the base, 31cm high
