A Staffordshire blue and white bowl, late 18th century
decorated in the chinoiserie manner, the centre painted with dwellings before a stylised waterscape, enclosed by a hooped and foliate border and a further diaper border, the reverse painted with a continuous scene of pagodas and balustraded gardens, impressed circle mark, chip, 27,5cm diameter
