Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier was founded in 1863 by Frédéric Mugnier’s great-great-grandfather. In 1985, Frederic – a fifth generation Mugnier – took over, and somehow managed to combine the running of the property with his job as an airline pilot. He now focuses his efforts solely on winemaking. The estate is renowned for its Chambolle-Musigny and is the second largest owner in Musigny.

‘An outstanding, potentially exceptional wine, the ruby-colored 2002 Bonnes Mares (total production is 150 cases) bursts forth with a magnificent nose of candied cherries, roses, and ripe raspberries. Medium to full-bodied, its harmonious character is wonderfully sweet, seductive, and sexy.
