one applied with a gilt-metal surmount of oval-cut amethysts and enhanced with seed-pearls, to a two pronged tortoiseshell comb, one stone replaced, length approximately 115mm; the other with a Dutch silver surmount of open ball work and leaf design, to a three pronged tortoiseshell comb, chip to one prong, length approximately 85mm

Tortoiseshell and amethyst comb
The central oval-cut stone replaced and with a large chip to the right hand side of the stone, measuring approximately 0.5mm
CPM states that the metal is silver (Ag 33.250) with 4.530Kt gold plating (Au 18.875)
Tortoiseshell and silver comb, stamped 800 standard, with Dutch marks for 1859-1893, probably Maastricht
The centre prong with damage to the tip approximately 0.3mm long
CPM states that the metal is silver (Ag38.434)
