Notes

Izwi/Stem/Voice was a literary magazine that published 18 issues from October 1971 to August 1974. It was edited by Phil du Plessis and Stephen Gray, with guest editors Wessel Pretorius, Wilma Stockenström, Sheila Roberts and others, for some issues. The cover design for IZWI Vol. 3, No. 14, published in February 1974, was a woodcut by Cecil Skotnes; with 4 colour silkscreen by Berenice Michelow, hand numbered 70/380 by the artist, and a pull out poster by Sipho Magudulela.

Exhibited

Warren Siebrits Modern and Contemporary Art, Johannesburg, South African Literary Magazines, 1956-1978, 15 March to 14 April 2005, another issue from the edition was exhibited.
