A Japanese Imari dish, late Meiji period (1868-1912)

rectangular with incurved corners, the centre decorated with 'The Three Friends of Winter' enclosed by a foliate-diaper border, the rim with panels of medallions, flowerheads and foliage, the reverse with scrolling stems, underglaze-blue six-character mark, 21cm wide; a Japanese Imari dish, oval, the centre decorated with a branch of pomegranates with a bird before a balustrade, the rim with ‘brocade’ border, the reverse with stylised flowerheads and Buddhist emblems, 21,5cm wide; and a miscellaneous collection of six Japanese Imari tea bowls, decorated with panels of figures, birds, mon and seigaiha-patterned rondels in shades of iron-red and green with gilt highlights, two with wavy borders, some chips, the tallest 7cm high
