signed by Governor Tulbagh, and the signature of a VOC official, Swellengrebel, over the Dutch East India Company seal, laid down, formerly folded, time stains, foxing and tears, 32cm by 38,5cm, framed and glazed
Notes
In 1752 Governor Tulbagh ordered a reconnaissance expedition which was led by ensign Auguste Frederik Beutler, of the Dutch East India Company. Carel Wentzel surveyed the route for Hendrik Koster and produced the map on this document.
