Neil Ellis pioneered the négociant, or non-estate, concept of sourcing grapes from growers all over the Cape. Since the early 70s Neil Ellis has become a pillar of the industry and today the legendary label is a family affair. Neil’s vision has always been to make distinctive, refined wines that are expressive of their terrain and rank amongst South Africa’s finest. With three decades plus of Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon under his belt, there are few better producers.

The CWG Auction Reserve 1992 was a barrel selection of the finest from the already highly-rated 1992 vintage. The regular wine received an accomplished 4-star rating with the local Wine Magazine at the time.
