Situated on the famed slopes of the Simonsberg in Stellenbosch, Warwick Wine Estate was purchased in 1964 by Stan and Norma Ratcliffe who planted the estate to, mostly, Bordeaux varieties. With their son Mike Ratcliffe taking over the reins in 1999, Warwick was propelled to even greater heights. The Trilogy, named for the three major varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, is their flagship blend. In 2018 Warwick was acquired by Eileses Capital, a San Francisco investment firm.
