Four Italian tôleware green, black and gilt painted metal planters, mid 20th century
square with flared sides, each painted to the front and the reverse in gilt with a seated figure smoking a hookah pipe and a standing figure holding a standard before a palm tree against a black ground, with gilt rim, the sides applied with lion-mask-and-ring handles, raised on four incorporated feet, paper label 'Made in Italy', two with green interior and two with black interior,17,9cm high
