the bell-shaped bowl moulded with a continuous scene of a procession of worshippers followed by courtiers riding elephants towards a temple and shrine, the rim engraved '* CACHAR RACES 1886 POSTILION RACE WON BY Mr H Chamnen's "Team" "Scout & Cruachan" *', raised on a waisted stem rising from a circular domed foot moulded with foliage, the conforming pedestal foot engraved 'GRISH.C.OUTT. CALCUTTA.', dents, split, 21,3cm high, 360g
