About this Item
Notes
The figure is of a blind woman who used to sell oranges outside a Soweto school during breaks and at the end of school. She and her oranges were taken by some children to the school and then taken home again at the end of the day. On one particular day Lucas Sithole was driving past when he heard the woman crying out "Musani ukungishiya" (Don't leave me behind) as she feared that the children would leave without taking her home.
