(1968) Antwerp: H Gamblin, softcover, illustrated in black and white, text in English, Afrikaans, Flemish and Dutch
Notes
Debut issue of five and last major experimental avnat-garde literary journal of the 1960's, Antwerp.
Taking with him a copy of WURM number 1, DPM Botes, a Pretoria booklover and civil servant, travelled in 1966 to Belgium and met a range of experimental and avant-garde poets who excitedly wanted to exchange work with WURM participants. These interchanges are reflected in the examples of the European magazines being offered for auction.
Michael Gardiner
Wurm stamp on the cover.
Includes poetry by South African authors Wopko Jensma and Phil du Plessis.
