Notes
Wymondham Abbey was founded as a Benedictine monastery in 1107. The monastery church was completed by 1130 and in 1447 work began on the distinctive tall west tower. Following King Henry VIII's dissolution of the monasteries, the order relinquished the estate in 1538 and the building has since become the Anglican parish church for the town of Wymondham in Norfolk, England.
