About this Item
Rosewood and tiled side table, Denmark
the square top inset with a grid of glazed ceramic tiles within a mitred frame, raised on square-section tapering legs
c.1960-1970
height: 52,5cm; width: 60,5cm; depth; 60cm
Notes
The hand-glazed ceramic tile top, characteristic of Danish modern furniture, provides a surface both decorative and practical. The earthy, lava-like glazes reflect the Scandinavian fascination with studio ceramics and natural textures during this period.
