Wine of Origin: Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge

This is a single-vineyard Pinot noir from a cool-climate site in the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge appellation. Produced in a traditional Burgundian style with 20% whole-bunch fermentation to enhance freshness, aromatic lift, and structural tension. Being a Pinot noir, it is first and foremost a vin de terroir, articulating as it does the singularity of a vineyard site with a precise GPS coordinate - an expression of a very specific soil and place.

Tasting Notes: The wine reveals lifted aromas of wild strawberry and dark cherries, layered with subtle notes of violet, forest floor and crushed herbs. The palate is finely structured, with bright acidity and a sense of tension that brings focus and precision. A long, persistent finish completes this elegant and expressive wine.

Ready for drinking now until at least 2035.
