This extreme cool-climate Syrah, grown on iron-rich soils, showcases the diversity of South Africa’s terroir and its potential to produce world-class Syrah across different regions. This vineyard was specifically selected for its distinctive sense of place. The cool growing conditions in Elgin lend the wine elegance and restraint, while the iron soils impart power and depth.

Tasting Notes: The nose is defined by bramble, spiced plum, and cassis, complemented by aromatics of allspice, pink peppercorns, and a subtle hint of fynbos. This medium-bodied, age-worthy Syrah is elegant and fresh.

Ready for drinking in 10 to 15 years.
