Only 400 bottles were produced, marking the very last CWG wine to be made from this unique site, and it concludes the most lengthy and consistent offering of the variety in CWG Auction history. This CWG Merlot is South Africa’s most expensive and exclusive example of the variety. First auctioned at the 1997 CWG Auction.
Tasting Notes: The wine shows classic cherry chocolate notes, mingled with cassis and violet on the bouquet. The palate is quintessential Merlot, all power and grace, with opulent, juicy and perfumed flavours.
Ready to drink 3 to 25 years from vintage date.
