About this Item

Saailand Shiraz 2024
36 (6 x 6) 750ml
100% Shiraz

Wine of Origin: Swartland
Winemaker: Dewaldt Heyns

This wine originates from an ultra-low-yielding dry-land vineyard, where naturally limited production contributes to concentration and character. The vines are grown on south-facing, deep red clay-rich soils, providing the foundation for depth and structure. The wine is made in open-top fermenters with 10% whole-bunch fermentation and is matured in French oak for 18 months, allowing complexity, texture and balance to develop over time.

Tasting Notes: The wine displays prominent dark fruit flavours, complemented by subtle red cherry and delicate violet notes. The palate is full-bodied, with firm yet accessible tannins providing structure and balance and a long finish.

Ready for drinking by 2035.
