Marques de Riscal
Rioja Gran Reserva 2013
Spain
About the SessionRioja anchors the Spanish session with a depth and breadth that rewards both traditionalists and modern-style enthusiasts. La Rioja Alta is the most extensively represented producer, with Gran Reserva 904 spanning multiple vintages and formats, alongside the classic Reservas - Viña Ardanza, Viña Alberdi, and Viña Arana. Beyond Rioja, Sierra Cantabria delivers some of the most sought-after names in the sale. Their single-vineyard Amancio across 2002 and 2007, the Finca El Bosque, and the Colección Privada 2003 represent the very top of the Rioja hierarchy.

About this Item
Rioja Gran Reserva 2013
3 (1 x 3) 750ml
Marqués de Riscal, founded in 1858 at Elciego in the Rioja Alavesa, is one of the oldest and most celebrated wineries in the region and was the first non-French producer to win a Diploma of Honour at the Bordeaux Exposition, in 1895. Its Gran Reserva represents the traditional Rioja Alavesa style, a Tempranillo-led wine of elegance built on extended cask and bottle ageing and made to reward long cellaring. The 2013 came from a cooler, more challenging vintage that favoured a fresher, classically proportioned style.
