Viña Bosconia Reserva 2004
Spain
About the SessionRioja anchors the Spanish session with a depth and breadth that rewards both traditionalists and modern-style enthusiasts. La Rioja Alta is the most extensively represented producer, with Gran Reserva 904 spanning multiple vintages and formats, alongside the classic Reservas - Viña Ardanza, Viña Alberdi, and Viña Arana. Beyond Rioja, Sierra Cantabria delivers some of the most sought-after names in the sale. Their single-vineyard Amancio across 2002 and 2007, the Finca El Bosque, and the Colección Privada 2003 represent the very top of the Rioja hierarchy.

Provenance
The late David Brice was a respected wine connoisseur, collector and co-founder of Brice and Burnett – The Fine Wine Specialists (formerly Wine Cellar). His lifelong passion for wine from all corners of the world wine, and generosity, helped develop a culture of fine wine in South Africa and beyond. Always with value and authenticity in mind, the collection spans a wide range of styles from leading producers and diverse regions. The wines were professionally imported under refrigeration and carefully stored at Brice and Burnett (formerly Wine Cellar) thereafter. Many of the producers are not available in South Africa and provide an excellent buying opportunity.

Critics Ratings
'Vivid red. Aromas of dried cherry, potpourri, vanilla and sandalwood, with an exotic touch of allspice building in the glass. Sweet, concentrated and focused, offering cherry compote and rose pastille flavors that put on weight and pick up a smoky nuance on the back half. Shows a deft blend of power and finesse, finishing sweet and gently tannic, with excellent persistence and an echo of candied flowers.'- Josh Raynolds, Vinous, 93/100 (Oct 2015)
'Very fruity and intense yet there's a finesse and subtlety. Full-bodied and rich but very polished and refined. Lots of dried fruit, earth and spice. Aged five to six years in old American oak casks. Drink or hold.' - James Suckling, 94/100 (Jun 2015)
'Dark ruby-colored, with notes of beef blood, iron, antique shop, incense, blood orange and a touch of volatile acidity, the palate is very fresh, with good concentration, clear flavors and enough grip and fruit to age gracefully. A perfumed and feminine great Rioja.' - Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, 93/100 (Dec 2013)
