“The first impression when you look at the body of work is that I have drawn my inspiration from road markings. For several years, I have been intrigued and captivated by the layers of marks painted on roads.

Upon closer examination, I realised that there are numerous layers waiting to be discovered. Within these marks, you can uncover the history of past years, fault lines, corrections, and ultimately the present, which serves as the guidance we are meant to follow.

For me, it became a metaphor for the layers and directions that shape our lives over time. We may follow paths that have been marked out for us, but we are not bound to them. We make choices based on our own unique paths, for better or for worse.
