of barrel form, with reeded bands, gilt interior, 285g
height: 12cm

Private Collection.

Notes

Johan Hendrik Vos (Junior) was the son of Jacobus Johannes Vos (born 1785) and Susanna Sophia Lotter. He was baptised at the Cape on 19 January 1806 and later married Hillegonda Hendrika Aspeling. He died on 9 February 1849.

Archival records indicate that he worked at 11 Buitengracht Street from 1834 to 1841, thereafter at 73 Buitengracht from 1842 to 1848, and finally at 78 Buitengracht from 1849 to 1850.
