About this Item
Pessac-Léognan Rouge 2000
6 (1 x 6) 750ml
Château Brown is a historic estate in Pessac-Léognan, with records dating back to the late 18th century. Its vineyards lie on deep gravel and clay-limestone soils, characteristic of the Graves region, and produce both red and white wines. The red is typically Cabernet Sauvignon-led, known for its balance between structure and supple fruit, a hallmark of Left Bank Graves wines. This vintage represents a fine example of traditional winemaking before the estate’s modernisation in the mid-2000s.

Critics Ratings
'Undoubtedly the most impressive wine I have ever tasted from Brown, the dense ruby/purple-colored 2000 offers up excellent aromas of cassis, red currants, cedar, and tobacco. Medium-bodied, with super concentration as well as purity, power combined with elegance, and a moderately tannic finish, this is a stylish classic Graves as well as a sleeper of the vintage.' - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate (April 2003)
