Notes
The present lot was made while on a residency with Kuona Trust in Nairobi at the GoDown Art Centre in 2004. It was during this period that Tapfuma Gutsa met Gakunju Kaigwa, and enjoying each other’s practices, the sculptors decided to collaborate on some pieces during the residency. Originally created as a carving in tuff stone, the present lot is from a limited edition of three.
