Master silversmiths included in this collection are Willem Godfried Lotter, Lawrence Holme Twentyman, Johannes Casparus Lotter, Johan Hendrik Vos and Jan Lotter.

A Cape silver snuff box, Johannes Marthinus Lotter, c.1844-1879 rectangular, moulded with reeded bands, curved hinged cover with a foliate thumbpiece, the centre applied with a plaque engraved with initials 'FJMK', gilt interior, 100g,8cm wide
Notes
The hallmark is a combination of JM Lotter and J Combrink. Combrink and Lotter were brothers-in-law as Lotter's sister was Aurelia Wilhelmina.
