Collection of The Mentors Petit Verdot 2018

Petit Verdot has long played a supporting role in Bordeaux, yet ripening late, it revels in a warmer South Africa. The Mentors Petit Verdot 2018 is a blend of three sites. The oldest block, planted in 1997 on oak leaf soils, lends dark fruit. A second, established in 2014 on similar soils, brings bright red fruit. The final component from a 0.26-hectare block near Sir Lowry's Pass, adds lifted florals. It delivers a firm yet polished frame with pure, resonant fruit. A wine that stands confidently on its own as a compelling expression of South Africa's potential Petit Verdot.
