Kim Berman and Robbin Ami Silverberg utilised a novel idea for publishing a print portfolio, a so-called Coat Hanger project, titled Uhanga Dihangara, inviting 15 artists to submit artworks for the project. Their artworks were all to be in the same format, the triangle shape of a wire coat hanger. The triangle had to be doubled up on the long side, forming a veritable kite, or diamond shape to be folded over, covering the wire part of the hanger, bar the hook. Robert Hodgins, one of the 15 artists was so inspired by the idea, that he submitted numerous watercolours for consideration. These have now been donated by Robbin Ami Silverberg in order to raise funds for the bursary scheme of the Artist Proof Studio.
Print by Nhlanhla Mbatha not included.
