Rodan Kane Hart has long explored urban structures and spatial ideologies, often working with steel as his primary medium. The present lot is a shift toward wall-mounted sculptural forms. The work prominently reflects the interaction between stainless steel and mild steel. Challenging the rigidity of the medium, the work takes on an unexpectedly fluid, atmospheric quality. The reflective surface fractures the surrounding environment which it reflects. While Hart’s use of industrial materials remains central, the focus turns toward perception itself, transforming steel into a medium of optical illusion and material paradox.¹
