‘The 2015 l'Eveche is a blend of 75% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc plus a seasoning of other varieties, aged in new oak, foudres and used barrels. It has a lifted blackberry and raspberry-scented bouquet with fine definition, broody, more introspective than I expected, the gravel soils imparting a Left Bank trait. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannin. This is a structured Saint Émilion with fine salinity towards the finish, one that deserves 3-4 years in bottle, but I suspect will be worth the wait. 2018-2028’ - Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, 90-92/100
‘Black! Concentrated fruit with a hint of tar and much opulence. Sweet start – so much sweet fruit that the sandy tannins emerge only at the very end. But there is freshness here too. This works! 2022-2030’ - Jancis Robinson, jancisrobinson.com, 17/20 (Apr 2016)
