‘After all these years, the 2003 Dom Pérignon Rosé has finally started to be expressive. In this tasting, the 2003 is distinguished by its vertical build and a real sense of gravitas. The natural power of the year - once quite hidden - now comes through loud and clear. 2019-2039’ - Antonio Galloni, Vinous, 94/100 (Mar 2019)
‘In a year as warm and punishing as 2003, it was vital to get the reds right. The vineyards in question are planted at high densities and the husbandry isolates expectation. Paradoxically, there are higher yields in the grand cru sites. Less surprisingly, the precision required of the sugar levels is vital. The 2003 is appropriately rich, with a nose of black forest gâteau, morello cherry and even a whiff of eau-de-vie. It's all power, life-assuring and decadent. The finish is somewhat four-square, adamantine, proud and forthright. 2019-2030’ - Simon Field MW, Decanter, 91/100 (Nov 2018)
‘Pale greyish salmon pink. Quite a bit of Pinot nectar on the nose. Very straightforward. Tight and a tiny bit phenolic on the end – a bit like the 2005. Maybe not quite as beautifully integrated as the 2005. Slightly sweet. 2013-2023’ - Jancis Robinson, jancisrobinson.com, 18/20 (Nov 2018)
‘Finely detailed in texture, with an expressive flavor profile of strawberry pâte de fruit, biscotti, ground anise and ginger, matched to vivid acidity and a rich, minerally character. Broad and creamy on the palate, featuring a long, echoing finish. Drink now through 2029.’ - Alison Napjus, Wine Spectator, 96/100 (Dec 2014)
