Critics Ratings

‘A meaty, earth- and spice-filled version, shading the juicy cherry and plum notes. Underscored by a vibrant, solid structure but lingers nicely on the finish.’ - Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator, 91/100 (Mar 2016)

‘This is the first wine to display any appreciable amount of wood influence with its toast and menthol attributes that aren't enough to fight with the earth and humus-suffused red and dark pinot fruit scents. The cool, sleek and intense middle weight plus flavors display ample volume and plenty of minerality on the firm and ever-so-slightly rustic finish that delivers outstanding length for a villages level wine. This is impressive and well worth your attention.’ - Allen Meadows, Burghound.com (Apr 2015)

‘Good medium red. Lovely floral lift to the aromas of red cherry, raspberry and medicinal menthol. Juicy and nicely delineated; less fat than the Vosne-Romanée but juicier and brighter. The Vosne is spicy while this is fruitier. Finishes firmly tannic but not dry, with fresh lingering perfume.’ - Stephen Tanzer, Vinous (Nov 2015)
