Notes

The 'safari' or 'campaign' style chair was a design that originated in the early 20th century and was transformed into a modern classic by Scandinavian modernist designers such as Kaare Klint (1888-1954) in the mid-century period.

These chairs were originally made to be collapsible for ease of transport during safaris or military campaigns.
